Long documents that people actually finish
Annual reports, whitepapers, research papers and proposals. Long-form layout, data visualisation and a structure that gives the reader somewhere to rest — designed so your work gets read rather than filed.
The problem with long documents
Nobody reads a 40-page PDF straight through. They scan it, stop at whatever catches them, read that section properly, and form a view of the whole from that fragment.
Design’s job in a long document is to make that behaviour work in your favour: pull-quotes and callouts that reward scanning, charts that make a point on their own, section openers that let a reader re-enter cleanly, and a visual hierarchy that signals what matters before a word is read.
Set in default Word styling, a good report reads as a rough draft. Which is an expensive way to undermine work that took months.

FAQ
How much does report design cost?
Report design is priced by length: from $600 for documents up to 8 pages, $900 for 9–20 pages, $1,300 for 21–40 pages, and $2,200 for 41–80 pages. A reusable template system, if you produce reports regularly and want to do it in-house, starts at $500.
How long does it take to design a report?
A 20-page report takes around 8 working days, and a 40-page report around 4 weeks, from final approved content. Design can start on partial content, but late content changes are the main cause of delay on long documents — so we’ll ask how settled the text is before committing to a date.
Can you design in Word or Google Docs instead of InDesign?
Yes. If your team needs to update the document themselves without design software, we build it in Word or Google Docs with proper styles, and the result still looks designed. InDesign gives more typographic control and is the right choice for print or anything with complex layout — we’ll recommend based on who maintains it after handover.
Do you create the charts and graphics?
Yes. We rebuild charts from your underlying data rather than reusing exported screenshots, which means they match the document’s design system and are legible at print size. Custom diagrams, infographics and illustrated elements are included.
Can you make the PDF accessible?
Yes, on request. We produce tagged PDFs with correct reading order, alt text on images and proper heading structure, which meets most common accessibility requirements. Tell us at the brief stage — accessible documents need to be built that way from the start rather than fixed afterwards.
