Pitch deck design for people who have to defend the slides

We design investor and sales decks around the argument, not the template. Narrative structure, custom layouts, honest data visualisation, and editable source files you can update yourself the week after.

Most decks fail on sequence, not on styling

An investor gives a deck a few minutes. In that time they are trying to answer three questions in order: what does this company do, why is it going to be big, and why are these the people to do it.

The decks that fail usually answer those questions in the wrong order. Slide three explains the business model before slide two has explained the business. The traction chart appears before the reader understands what’s being measured. Everything is present; nothing lands.

That’s a structural problem, and it’s the first thing we fix. Before a single slide is styled, we agree the sequence — what each slide has to achieve and what the reader should believe by the end of it. Then we design that. It’s why our first deliverable is usually a slide-by-slide outline rather than a visual concept.

What’s included

  • Narrative review — we read what you have and tell you where the argument breaks
  • Slide-by-slide structure — agreed before design begins
  • Custom slide design — every slide laid out for its specific content, not forced into a template
  • Data visualisation — charts built to make the point clearly and honestly, not to flatter a weak number
  • Diagram and icon design — original, consistent, on-brand
  • Master slides and theme setup — so future slides your team makes match the ones we made
  • Two revision rounds
  • Editable source files — PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote or Figma
  • PDF exports — print and screen, optimised file size
  • Handover note — fonts, colours, and how to edit what you’ll want to edit

How it runs

  1. Send what you have — a deck, a Word document, a napkin. Plus your raise stage, audience and deadline.
  2. Narrative outline — within 10 days, a slide-by-slide plan with our notes on where the argument needs work.
  3. Direction slides — three to five designed slides showing the visual system. You approve or redirect.
  4. Full build — the complete deck.
  5. Two revision rounds.
  6. Handover — source files, exports, handover note.

Typical timeline: 7 working days. Rush available at 30%.

What you get, in what format

We build natively in whichever tool your team will actually use. Most investor decks go out as PowerPoint with proper master slides and theme colours, because that’s what gets forwarded, edited at 11pm, and opened on a stranger’s laptop. Design-literate teams often prefer Figma. Either way it’s genuinely editable — no flattened images, no locked layers.

A word on this: a deck delivered as a PDF, or as slides where every element is one pasted image, isn’t a deliverable. It’s a permanent dependency on the person who made it. We don’t work that way and you shouldn’t accept it from anyone.

FAQ

How much does pitch deck design cost?

Pitch deck design at Orbits Digital starts at $900 for a 10–20 slide deck, with most investor decks landing between $900 and $1,800. The price includes narrative structuring, custom slide design, data visualisation, two revision rounds and editable source files. Decks needing original illustration or very fast turnaround sit at the upper end.

How long does it take to design a pitch deck?

A standard 10–20 slide deck takes around 7 working days from approved brief to final files. That includes a narrative outline stage, a direction review at around 40% complete, and two revision rounds. Rush delivery of roughly half that timeline is available for a 30% fee, subject to capacity.

Do you write the content or just design it?

Both are available. Most clients bring their own content and we restructure and edit it for clarity and sequence, which is included. If you need the narrative written from scratch — from a conversation, a business plan or a set of figures — we quote that as a copy component on top of the design price.

Will I be able to edit the deck myself?

Yes. You receive the native editable file — PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote or Figma — built with master slides, proper theme colours and organised layers, so your team can update numbers and add slides without the design falling apart. We include a short handover note covering fonts and colour codes.

Can you work from our existing deck?

Yes, and that’s the most common starting point. Send the current version and we’ll tell you honestly whether it needs a redesign or a rebuild — sometimes the structure is sound and the styling is the problem, and that’s a cheaper project. See presentation design if your deck mainly needs a visual overhaul.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, as standard and before you share anything. Fundraise materials are confidential by nature and a large share of our deck work is under NDA.
